Rattee & Kett was founded in 1843 by James Rattee a joiner, & George Kett, a mason, both from Norfolk. It remained a family run business until becoming part of Mowlem in 1926 until recently when the parent company was purchased by Carillion.
Rattee and Kett Ltd is now a privately owned limited company and part of the Stonewest Group of Companies.
During its 160 year history the company has developed an enviable reputation for the distinction and breadth of service it offers to its clients, responding to their needs as times have changed but never losing sight of the need for quality and value for money based on the premise of employing our own labour force.
Today’s management reflects the desire to be competitive yet provide a service that results in clients offering repeat business – not always over 25 years as at Westminster Abbey!
Sister companies Stonewest Ltd and St Blaise Ltd, based in London and Dorset fully compliment our coverage of the South of England where we are second to none in terms of experience and skilled resources.
