Ickworth House
Description
This very important building owned by The National Trust, Ickworth House is amongst East Anglia’s finest properties.
Works over a five year period have included a complete restoration of the Rotunda and internal light downs which included extensive complicated scaffold access. Other works have included upgrading the Fire Alarm System and Fire Precaution works to protect this magnificent structure.
The works involved:
- Extensive fully designed scaffold to both external rotunda and full Birdcage to internal light drum.
- Rotunda frame completely overhauled, re-glazed and re-painted.
- Lead work gutters reformed to current standards and new lead work applied.
- Re-pointing to Rotunda Parapet.
- Safety Latchway system introduced for future access and maintenance.
- Repairs and redecorations to lightwell.
