HSBC Building, Harleston
Description
Poor quality repairs carried out over the years had left the brick and stone façade and tiled roof in poor repair.
The works involved:
- Rattee and Kett rebuilt the lead box gutter to the correct falls, repaired and replaced rotten window frames and carried out conservation repairs on the façade.
- The bank was then treated to a redecoration using a micro-porous system to restore it to its standing as one of the towns’ most interesting buildings.
